Patented Internal Vent System
Eliminates the negative pressure and excess air ingestion
The patented Natural Flow internal vent system is the only vent that eliminates the vacuum and the air bubbles found in most baby bottles. It allows air to enter through the nipple collar without being incorporated into the breast milk or formula.
The air is then channeled though the internal vent system to the area above the breast milk or formula.
Babies feed more comfortably because the vent allows them to nurse without fighting the negative effects of a vacuum or the discomfort of ingesting air bubbles. This helps to reduce colic, spit-up, burping and gas.
The breast milk or formula flows freely through the nipples as the air is channeled to the top of the bottle. This positive pressure eliminates nipple collapse, and can help reduce build up of fluid in baby's ear.
Unique internal vent eliminates the vacuum and air bubbles to help reduce colic, spit-up, burping and gas
By eliminating the negative pressure, it can help reduce build up of fluid in baby's ear
Positive-pressure design mimics breastfeeding and is ideal for breast milk and formula alike

Customer Reviews

Pretty good but pricey.
I purchased these bottles on the recommendation of the NICU. My daughter was a preemie and these have worked well with feeding her. The nipple is extra long so that it hits that back of the mouth, stimulating the baby to drink. The bottles come in several pieces, but once you take them apart and put them together a few times, it's easy. The only downside to this bottle is that if you overfill them just a little bit they leak horribly.

Preemie Baby
My baby was born at 27 weeks, and has had tons of feeding issues. When she was discharged from NICU, we were using Gerber Slow Flow nipples. A few days after getting home, she began having apnea episodes during feedings- she wasn't breathing and was turning blue. We ended up in the ER, and consulted with a speech pathologist in the pediatric ward. It turns out she has GER (reflux). The pathologist gave us Dr. Brown's bottles, and they have worked like a charm. She doesn't gulp her milk anymore, and is able to take a full feeding without spitting up. She hardly ever gets gas in her tummy because of the design.
Yes, clean up takes much longer, and is no fun (especially in the middle of the night). However, as long as my baby can breathe during her feedings, I'd take any amount of clean up.
I would highly recommend these bottles to any moms of preemies who have feeding issues, whether it's reflux or pacing.

I LOVE THESE BOTTLES!
These bottles are the best baby supply we have! The best feature is Dr. Brown's bubble-reduction device. It allows air back into the bottle without going through the milk, so your baby gets a constant supply of bubble-free food. The bottles are graded in ounces and mililiters, which is very nice for precisely tracking consumption.

I highly recommend Dr. Brown's bottles, and also the dishwasher kit. Initially I had purchased one Dr. Brown's set and one Philips Avent set. The PA set leaked so badly within the first week I got rid of them and bought another Dr. Brown's set and have never looked back.

The best baby bottles
These baby bottles are absolutely the best for colic prevention. I highly recommend them.

Good venting, baby loves them
We used a combination of the Playtex Ventaire and Dr. Brown's during the last 3 weeks with our newborn. After several nights of her spitting up and fussing when fed with the Ventaire bittles, we switched exclusively to Dr. Brown's. So far, so good - the baby is feeding without incident and because the vent is through the middle of the bottle versus at the bottom like on the Ventaire (where it can stick if not dried thoroughly after washing), the bottle vents well. The only difficult aspect of the bottles is the multiple pieces to wash/put together each time - but this is the beneficial design, so it appears to be worth the effort.
